We invite artists, enthusiasts, and individuals interested in exploring the intersection of art and post-conflict narratives to join the “Conflict Exchange (CX)” workshop.
Presented by renowned Iraqi American artist Wafaa Bilal, this workshop marks the second edition of a series of social platforms designed as stores, exploring the complexities of equity and relationships in post-conflict scenarios. Participants will engage in hands-on activities, gaining insights into the transformative power of art in rebuilding and healing. Over the course of two days, attendees will experience the step-by-step journey from cutting materials to beating fibers and forming sheets, ultimately creating visually captivating paper.
The workshop aims to foster a collaborative and dynamic environment, encouraging everyone’s participation in generating a substantial and unique paper. Whether you’re keen on crafting your own paper or simply dropping in to witness the artistic transformation, all levels of involvement are welcomed. The workshop welcomes both those who want to be a part of the entire papermaking process and those who prefer to observe and appreciate the creative energy unfolding in this unique space.
